Eagles B 2 v Old Coulsdon Colts A 1 League
25th September 2004
The first half started off with some good football from The
Colts, full of drama and excitement, with Simon making a finger
tip save on six minutes and solid defending as ever from Tom,
supported by Charlie and Luke. Ben took a nasty knock to the
knee after ten minutes and was brought off for a rest. 30
seconds into injury time, Epsom Eagles went 1-0 up with an
excellent goal.
A few minutes into the second half and the Eagles went 2 up.
The rest of the half was end to end football, with Coulsdon
Colts working hard to lower the deficit.
A superb cross in by Daniel from the right hand wing landed
expertly at Ben’s feet who was unlucky with his strike
at goal.
Consistent high quality football and a determined focus culminated
in a Colts’ goal 3 minutes from time, with a long range
effort from Daniel, looping over the keeper and finished off
by Jack. Final score 2-1 to Epsom Eagles.
